Cleveland Browns Stadium Hotels

Although Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio is only for football, it offers visitors so much more. Sitting at the heart of the North Coast Harbor in the bustling city of Cleveland, this stadium is the home of the Cleveland Browns NFL franchise. Its 31 acres of land on the shores of Lake Erie grants it a capacity of at least 73,200 people. And while Cleveland Browns Stadium is used primarily for football games, it is also able to host international soccer matches. Prior to what you see today as the Cleveland Browns Stadium, this property used to be called the Cleveland Municipal before owner Art Modell moved the team to Baltimore. They later became the Ravens, but the Browns name remained. The city of Cleveland tore down the Cleveland Stadium in 1996 and built the new facility after its remaining debris were submerged in Lake Erie as an artificial reef.

Recently, the Cleveland Browns Stadium hosted the Ohio Classic college football game in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, we saw the Bowling Green Falcons and Wisconsin Badgers Game. And soon in 2009, this stadium will house the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Toledo Rockets game.
