Jacobs Field Cleveland Hotels
Progressive Field Cleveland is the official home of the Major League Baseball team the Cleveland Indians. Formerly known as Jacobs Field, the home of this baseball team was officially renamed in January 2008.
The Indians have played at Progressive Field since 1994. The reason for its renaming was due to the expiration of the naming rights from the Jacobs brothers, who were at one time this ball club's owners. Since its opening, it has hosted two World Series Championships and the 1997 All-Star game.
The scoreboard at Progressive Field is the largest free-standing one of its kind in the United States. It was modernized in 2004 with the latest technology and the largest video display at any sports venue in the world.
Many different kinds of special events have been hosted at Progressive Field, including weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, and many more. For this reason Progressive Field provides banquet areas and meeting rooms with the option for on-site full catering.
Within Progressive Field is Heritage Park. This was opened in 2007 as an Indians Hall of Fame and a way to put the baseball team's history on display. Through Progressive Field's Brick Paver Program, guests and fans can become a part of history and donate to the field.
For fans of baseball, sports, or just getting to check out new things, seeing the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field is a great experience for anyone!
